Everything I wrote in February
It was an unexpectedly busy month for me in February, which included two days in Amsterdam being filmed for the forthcoming Wine Masters documentary (as pictured). That meant things were a little quiet here on the blog - though I did manage to write something to mark my tenth anniversary as a fully fledged wine writer. Here's everything else I wrote, plus a short appearance on America's National Public Radio network (at 2:38).
- On JancisRobinson.com, I wrote:
- A wine of the week from Bourgeuil (free to read)
- 60 tasting notes on various wines from Rioja (subscription required)
- 23 tasting notes from an extraordinary vertical of Royal Tokaji's sweet treasures (subscription required)
- A provocative Spittoon column about the bottom end of Prosecco (free to read)
- 75 tasting notes on top red bordeaux from the 2008 vintage (subscription required)
- 57 tasting notes on some classic whites from Austria (subscription required)
- 51 tasting notes praising the value of the Douro (subscription required)
- 50 tasting notes reviewing the current state of McLaren Vale (subscription required)
- My Living France column basked in the glory of Coche-Dury's Corton-Charlemagne
- My Drinks Retailing News column examined how the wine trade needs an outsider's perspective
- I contributed a piece on Burgundian grapes in America for FICOFI magazine (see below)
- And there were merely three blog posts here, the most popular of gave the ten golden rules of wine writing
